España, a través de la Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) , el CDTI, Consejería de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidad de Asturias/FICYT, EVE, el Gobierno Vasco/SPRI SPRI y SODERCAN, participa en la convocatoria de proyectos de investigación transnacionales en apoyo a la transición energética financiando una amplia variedad de desarrollos en tecnología y sistemas, en el marco de la Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership)

La convocatoria contempla líneas de investigación que cubren todo el ecosistema energético, desde tecnologías básicas hasta el sistema eléctrico global, incluyendo infraestructuras y áreas urbanas y teniendo en cuenta la participación de todos los actores para la transición energética

• PowerPlanningTools: development of tools and methods to plan and operate the future integrated energy systems, fostering inclusiveness, sustainability and resilience
• RESDemoPowerflex: demonstration technologies and solutions for enhancing the flexibility along the energy value chain to enable the transition to high shares of RES in the European system Addressing knowledge gaps on biodiversity status, dynamics, and trends to reverse biodiversity loss
• Advancing RE technologies for power production demonstration projects aiming at reducing the LCoE and/or CAPEX through technology development of (primarily) components or at system level
• Breakthrough R&D to increase RE power technologies efficiency: breakthrough research (TRL 4 or above) leading to increase the conversion/transfer efficiency and reliability of RE technologies and sustainability
• CCU/CCS technologies: technological cleaner solutions for energy storage and flexibility with hydrogen, renewable fuels and CCU/CCS
• Hydrogen and renewable fuels: technological cleaner solutions for energy storage and flexibility with hydrogen, renewable fuels and CCU/CCS
• Heating & Cooling: heating and cooling technologies and systems. The scope includes heat and cold sources, distribution, storage and conversion, and end-use systems in the built environment and industrial processes, in collective and individual systems. Projects must enable cost reductions and/or an increase in competitive market opportunities and environmental protection, compared to state-of-the-art today
• Integrated Regional Energy Systems: integrated system solutions, that are able to host high shares of renewables in the regional energy supply, by utilising flexibility and sector coupling options
• Industrial energy systems: developing and demonstrating a set of technical solutions for integrated industrial energy systems that enables efficient carbon-neutral industrial production sites and takes industrial energy systems into development as part of the entire energy system
• R&I in clean energy integration in the built environment: developments in integration and conversion of renewable energy in the built environment and digitalization in all the building life cycle. Technology improvements through new solutions and capabilities, proof of concepts or optimisations.
• Solutions to energy transition in the built environment Call module: developments in integration and conversion of renewable energy in the built environment and digitalization in the whole building life cycle. Solutions should drive new technologies towards commercial readiness by reinforcing connection with multipliers (architects, civil engineers, craftsmen, engineering offices, manufacturers), creating high-quality new knowledge and skills in the complete built environment

La AEI financiará a las entidades elegibles españolas que participen en los proyectos aprobados en la convocatoria transnacional, de acuerdo con el anexo nacional, mediante la convocatoria de “Proyectos de Colaboración Internacional”.

Se invita a los investigadores que lo deseen a participar en esta convocatoria, coordinando o formando parte de consorcios transnacionales. Es importante consultar los anexos nacionales/regionales correspondientes, con sus posibles actualizaciones ya que puede haber incompatibilidades.

El plazo para presentar las solicitudes a la primera fase concluye el 23 de noviembre 2022 a las14:00 CET.
