The candidate will work in a project related with smart manufacturing of composite materials by injection/infusion techniques. The project will consist in a joint collaboration between Data Mining Research Group from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and IMDEA Materials Institute.
The student will join a multidisciplinary group of scientist working on the development of multifunctional composites, with experience in producing km-long yarns of carbon nanotubes with molecular control, advanced X-ray studies on porous crystalline materials, synthesis of hybrids combining nanocarbons and semiconducting metal oxides, and the study of interfacial charge transfer/storage processes.
Conduct laboratory experiments:
- Solid state and solution-based synthesis of inorganic materials
- Structural and physico-chemical characterization: X-Ray Diffraction, IR and Raman Spectroscopy, Thermogravimetry.
- Coin cell assembly and electrochemical characterization
