The project duration is two years with possibilities of extension. The recruitment process will be closed when a suitable candidate is found. Incorporation will be in less than 2 months after candidate selection. The project consists of designing, building, commissioning and exploiting a new experimental set up devoted to fast thin film growth while acquiring simultaneously diffraction data. It will operate at the NCD-SWEET beamline of ALBA light source (Cerdanyola del Valles, Barcelona).
Experience in synchrotron radiation instrumentation and applications
Experience in XRD (GIWAXS) and 2D detectors
Experience in assembling instrumentation (furnaces with controlled atmosphere, vacuum pumps, electro valve systems, mass spectrometers, mass flows, etc.)
High knowledge of Python programming and scientific equipment automation
Familiar with crystal growth
High level of written/spoken English
High motivation and communication skills
Combinatorial chemistry for Machine Learning
Experienced researcher with PhD in chemistry, material science or physics.
