Candidate with a solid background in protein chemistry and design, structural biology, biophysics, and chemical biology or have equivalent experience. In particular, experience in some of these topics is highly desirable: protein engineering, molecular biology, computational biology, X-ray crystallography, NMR, and cryo-TEM. The candidate is expected to have interest in multidisciplinary work, and the capacity to work in an international environment. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills in English are required.

We are seeking an innovative and skilled microscopist able to contribute to the application of advanced microscopy techniques (FIB, SEM, EBSD, EDS, TEM) to the characterization of materials, including the use of these techniques to carry out in-situ mechanical tests at the micro and nanoscale.

24+12 month position within an industrial collaboration in the field of solid-state batteries. The selected candidate will be part of a team up to five researchers working for the same project goal.

The candidate should hold a PhD in Solid-state Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields, as well as at least 10 years direct R&D experience in research and development of batteries, with a proven track record publishing in high-impact factor journals. Having managed an ERC grant or similar will also be valued very positively.
