The CTO will be in charge of medium and long-term planning and monitoring of the company’s development road-map. This role will also be the leader of the technological development team and will coordinate the company projects with our international partners.
The candidate must hold a PhD in nanotechnology, specifically in graphene, and with advanced knowledge in energy storage. Prior experience in a company of at least three years is required and a qualification in PMP or other accredited training in Project Management will be highly valued. High level of English is mandatory (level of negotiation).

The facility will address the current growing interest in the experimentation combining of life sciences with phenomena taking place at the nano and micro scales and will enable substantial advances in the research work of ICN2 groups in this field.

Description

The main responsibilities of the position comprise instrumental developments, experimental determinations of phase transformation subjected to thermomechanical treatment, and in situ characterizations of structural evolutions in steels. The experimental data will be interpreted along with computational results to reveal physical mechanisms leading to phase transformations in ultra-high steels, yet, highlighting future developments for UHS.

Research Associate-X-Ray Diffraction at University of Leicester

Description

Postdoctoral research scientist with a strong background in the application of X-ray diffraction (XRD) to materials analysis. You will apply a novel, high-resolution, non-invasive XRD technique to the analysis of cultural heritage artefacts, leading several measurement campaigns at the Diamond synchrotron, and will be responsible for analysing the resulting data. The project is an EPSRC-funded multidisciplinary collaboration with the Centre for Archaeological and Forensic Analysis, Cranfield University, and the post will involve travel to Swindon, the Diamond Light Source near Oxford and to other project partners.
