Materials for Health and Food Start-ups Brokerage event

The technological platform MATERPLAT and Madri+d, as Madrid’s node of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), with the collaboration of the European Technology Platform for Advanced Engineering Materials and Technologies (EUMAT) and the Spanish National Association of European Business and Innovation Centers (ANCES), organise this event to gather investors and start-ups that are in a creation or growth phase and currently developing or commercialising innovative products based on materials with application in health and food.

GOAL

The goal of this event is to facilitate the access to private funding and mentoring to start-ups working in the field of health or food, and for which materials are key components on their value propositions.

FORMAT

The event has been conceived in two sessions:

• The first one will have a contest-like format and there, start-ups will present their business model and technology to the investor ecosystem. A specialised committee will select the best idea and grant this entity a prize of 3.000 €.

Other interesting ideas selected by the committee will have the opportunity to receive mentoring from large companies in their sectors, in any field key to their development and growth.,

• During the second part of the event, start-ups and investors will have the opportunity to have B2B meetings.

REGISTRATION

If you are a start-up or an investor (investment fund, business angel, corporate, etc.) you can pre-register at the website dedicated to the event. Confirmation will follow after profile revision by the organisers.

Start-ups participation will be subject the pre-selection of their project idea by an evaluating committee formed by members of the companies offering mentoring to the start-ups and by members of the platforms and associations organising the event. In order to present their idea, besides registering, start-ups will have to fill up this form.
