Instituto de Ciencia Molecular ICMOL

The Instituto de Ciencia Molecular (ICMol) is located at the Parc Científic de la Universitat de València. With a surface of ca. 4.000m2, it was founded in 2000 to develop a high-quality research in materials science and nanoscience using a molecular approach.

The aims of the Institute are:

  • To design and synthesize molecules and molecular assemblies exhibiting useful physical or chemical properties.
  • To investigate these properties through both experimental and theoretical approaches.
  • To explore the potential applications of these molecules and materials in different areas of current interest (molecular magnetism, molecular electronics, molecular spintronics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, catalysis, etc.).
