IDM

El IDM fue uno de los primeros grupos europeos en comenzar una labor amplia de investigación en el desarrollo de sensores y sondas químicas moleculares y fue el primer grupo español que trabajó de manera sistemática en el desarrollo de sistemas sensores de base molecular con respuesta electroquímica, colorimétrica y/o fluorescente. En relación con materiales nanoestructurados functionalizados ha trabajado en los últimos años en el diseño de ‘puertas moleculares’ como dispositivos nanométricos en el que el transporte de masa (por ejemplo liberación) es conmutado mediante un estímulo externo que controla el estado de la puerta (abierta o cerrada). Estos sistemas tienen un gran potencial de aplicación en áreas que van desde la liberación controlada de fármacos hasta su uso en materiales inteligentes o sensores.
