AIJU

AIJU was set up in the town of Ibi, Alicante in June, 1985 to stimulate innovation in the children’s sector, consumer goods, electrical, automotive, plastic conversion, moulds and dies sectors, among others.

AIJU has a wide range of technological services available to adapt products to the existing technological, market and legislative requirements. In the area of materials and processes, it has strategic lines in the development of advanced materials for conventional manufacturing technology (injection moulding, rotomoulding, thermoforming, extrusion-blow moulding…) and advanced (additive manufacturing). Together with the development of new customised biopolymer-based formulations that meet corporate requirements (bioplastics, biodegradables, bio-based products, etc.) and functional plastic materials (electrical conductivity with nano-fillers, specific haptics with a custom menu, fire retardants, antimicrobials, etc.)

Specific Technological Aspects

Additive manufacturing by material extrusion (MEX), VAT Photopolymerisation (VPP), material jetting (BJT), Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) to achieve prototype moulds, functional or aesthetic prototypes, short-series of final parts, personalised products, ultrarealistic biomodels, etc. Optimization of traditional processes (injection, blow moulding, thermoforming, rotational moulding, extrusion-blow moulding, etc.). Tests for the identification and characterization of thermoplastic materials, digitization, adhesion, etc. in consumer products. Developments of polymeric material formulations at request (materials with nanofillers, electrical conductivity, antimicrobials, biopolymers, recycled, filaments for 3D printing, specific haptics, custom materials chart etc.).
