International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory – INL

INL, the International Nanotechnology Laboratory Iberica, is the first, and so far the only fully international research organization in Europe in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. INL is an international intergovernmental research organization (IGRO) with the mission to carry out cutting-edge research and development of interdisciplinary nanotechnology and to function as an integrator of innovations in multiple fields of application. INL was created under an international legal framework similar to that of other international research organizations such as CERN, EMBL or ESA and with the aim of becoming a world center of excellence in applied nanotechnology research.
The research and technology activities are focused on six groups: Health, Food, Energy, Environment, ICT and Future Emerging Technologies, which complement each other and provide a basis for interdisciplinary interactions between our research.
