GAIKER is a Technology Centre dedicated to technological innovation. It captures, generates and develops its own technology, subsequently transferring it to industry. The Centre has carried out more than 1,300 applied research projects for different sectors (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Health, Engineering, Automotive, Construction, Packaging, Domestic Appliances, etc.). Our areas of expertise are:
Biotechnology: biomedicine oriented to toxicological, pharmacokinetic and functional evaluation of compounds (including nanocomposites).
Environment and Recycling: development of environmental technologies for the evaluation of processes, products (eco-design) and services throughout their life cycle. Mechanical recycling and energy recovery.
Plastics and Composites: development and improvement of polymeric materials through the selection, formulation and modification of thermoplastic and thermoset materials and their composites. Synthesis and functionalisation of nanoparticles.
